"The White Gift from the Arctic" @
Sixteen photographs that feature polar bears sharing intimate communication will be shown at the Crestone Shumei Gallery along with messages received from those who have seen Lisa Vogt's photographs in prior exhibitions in Japan and New York City. A special corner will be set up for people in Crestone to add comments if they wish to do so.
Lisa Vogt visited the Arctic four times and accumulated an astonishing 15,000 photographs of polar bears in the wild. An exciting photo exhibition of sixteen delightful images will be on display in Crestone, Colorado. Three major gallery showings in Japan received high acclaim and messages of support were received from many individuals including the minister of the environment, various government officials, scientists, writers, architects, fellow photographers, businesspeople, children and the like. These various messages from Japan will be put on display, and we hope that the people of Crestone will also be moved to write a few lines and add them to the message board. Lisa will give a talk about the polar bears and the Arctic, the pictures of polar bears being full of life and love, hugging and displaying affection is sure to melt hearts and get children and adults alike to feel and reflect upon our precious planet. Please mark your calendars for a rewarding and splendid time!
