Shumei International Institute
will host the Kai Lin Yong Trio February 17th at 7pm

Daniel Pearl Memorial Violin recipient, Kai Lin Yong will bring his trio (violin, cello and world percussion) to Shumei International Institute on Friday Feb. 17th at 7pm. This ensemble is a smaller, more intimate version of his much acclaimed Kai Lin Yong Peace Project, a world folk/jazz orchestra formed in the autumn of 2008 to promote peace, friendship and cross-cultural understanding in the world through music.
The group will perform Kai Lin's original music based on his exploration of the diverse folk cultures of the world to demonstrate the concept and possibility of a global village, where we all come from different places and backgrounds, but through openness, acceptance, understanding and love, are able to co-exist in harmony.
