Logan is the director of Taos Clay, a community studio offering classes, workshops and residencies. His gallery showcases wood-fired, charcoal, salt, soda and saggar fired ceramics. His work is both functional and decorative and embodies the colors of the Southwest using regional materials. |

“Hot Metal: an Exhibition of Women's Work.”The exhibition features the art of emerging female artists from the San Luis Valley. Tiffany L. Lee, Alicia Hess, and Caitlin Whitten use their artwork as a way to communicate what is important to them both as artists and as women. The work in this show is not only a manifestation of their perspective on the world, but also of the physical labor of the women as artists. Washer is a Crestone-based folk rock duo. With a sound that has been described as sophisticated and edgy, the acoustic duo delivers original songs with well-tooled lyrics, ranging from the self-effacing humor to poignant social commentary. Unafraid to break conventional popular music structures, they have written songs that are complex; yet still manage to be catchy and accessible. Shumei, together with the Hazlrig Music House, hosts this ongoing concert series. Admission is $10, and all proceeds benefit Washer directly.
