Her music is being heard on National Public Radio along with local cable television. In 2000 she was awarded Entertainer of the year by the local Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Jaquie performed on the Main Stage at the 2002 Winter NAMM Show and on the Taylor Guitars Stage at the same show. She has also been endorsed by Pick-Up the World, manufacturer of guitar and instrument pickups. Jaquie has been the opening act for the Trinidaddio Blues Festival since its inception in 1999. |

Sasha Dorje Meyerowitz grew up around photography, and later pursued a career as a cinematographer. After moving to the San Luis Valley in 2000, he fell in love with the vast, quiet spaces and grand dramas of color and light unique to this area. They inspired a creative response, and he turned to photography. |

Jenny Bird has been called "the most passionate performer in the new folk genre." She will be sharing the stage with her good friend, and local favorite, Don Richmond. She has been presenting her original songs since the age of ten. Professionally managed as a teenager, Jenny lived and recorded in Germany and Belgium. For the last 20 years, she's toured widely and consistently, playing festivals and clubs across Europe, Canada, and the United States. She is well respected in her hometown of Taos, New Mexico where she records and teaches music. |

Ken Willson is the pulsing folk drive, with an engaging tenor voice and tasteful guitar and bouzouki foundations to the unique material. Yoshie Tokutake uses traditional Japanese clothing and textiles to create fabric pieces she hopes will preserve traditions as a reflection of cultural life to be handed down to the next generation.

“Hot Metal: an Exhibition of Women's Work.”The exhibition features the art of emerging female artists from the San Luis Valley. Tiffany L. Lee, Alicia Hess, and Caitlin Whitten use their artwork as a way to communicate what is important to them both as artists and as women. The work in this show is not only a manifestation of their perspective on the world, but also of the physical labor of the women as artists. The artists will speak about their creative and foundry processes and be available for questions during the reception. This event is free to the public. |
