S.N.A.C., the Shumei Natural Agriculture Crestone group grew spontaneously out of the Crestone communities desire to take specific steps to be more sustainable as a community. It is open to anyone in the community who would like to know more or practice Natural Agriculture themselves and is a shining example of Natural Agriculture spreading in a grass roots community fashion. Participants have the options of spending a few hours a week in one of Shumei’s gardens, tending a small plot of there own within our gardens, or working with our farmers to establish their own Natural Agriculture garden at home. Whichever choice participants make everyone takes fresh, tasty and healthful vegetables home!
