Shumei International Institute hold daily Sampai with chanting and the offering of healing Jyorei mornings please be seated by 7:50 AM and evenings at 5:50 PM in Sanctuary 256-5284.

Shumei’s monthly Sampai returns to the second Sunday of the month. Sensei Alan Imai will lead Sampai and share a presentation about Shumei’s worldwide activities. This is followed by a hot & healthy buffet lunch for all. 256-5284

The Shumei International Institute will celebrate its 5th Anniversary. Don’t miss this once a year gathering of so many of your friends, teachers and neighbors! (see ad for complete schedule of events)
Friday May 25th 7:00 PM
Monthly free Friday night at the movies with Shumei. This month we will show Ikiru (translation – “live” or “will to live”) a film by renowned Japanese Director Akira Kurowawa, considered by many to be his greatest accomplishments. Popcorn and beverages will be served.
May 19 – June
A retrospective of artists from Shumei’s 2006 Art Symposia will open during our anniversary celebration in the round gallery room and remain open to the public M-F from 9 – 5 through the month of June. Admission is always free, donations are welcomed.
