Shumei Invites you to Experience Authentic Japanese Tea Ceremony
The Shumei International Institute (SII) is pleased to host Japanese Tea Master Mr. Shuichi Tajimi as our guest of honor in March. There will be an opportunity for up to 20 people to join Mr. Tajimi for a very authentic Japanese tea ceremony on Tuesday March 11th. There will be 2 public ceremonies for up to 10 people each at 3:00 and 4:00 PM, RSVP and a $5 suggested donation is requested.
Shuichi Tajimi is a distinguished Japanese tea ceremony Master who has taken an active role in the Mushanokoji-senke tea ceremony school, one of three major tea ceremony schools in Japan.He had been immersed in the tea ceremony culture since he was very little, and started practicing Japanese tea ceremony seriously in 1983. He became a trained instructor in 1998. Currently, he has 240 students throughout Japan, and has performed and participated in very unique roles involving tea ceremony, including a broadcast on NHK, the largest TV station in Japan.

The tea ceremony will take place in SII’s round gallery room (1st bldg. on right through gate) at 3:00 & 4:00 PM on March 11, and is limited to the first 20 RSVP’s we hope you will join us.
