“A Powerful Prayer for Peace and Earth Healing
by Women, Children and Elders from all walks of life!
Supported by Spiritual Leaders of all faiths & beliefs”

With nations around the world standing at the brink of war, these are troubling times as foretold in so many prophecies. Life is out of balance. More and more people have lost their sense of spirit. Despair and hopelessness coupled with greed and avarice rules over the mass of humanity.
What is needed is a collective prayer for the future of humanity and the natural world, prayer at the highest levels, from all faiths at a place where spirit is still strong and runs true.

The prophecies of indigenous peoples of this land foretold of a time of great suffering, at this time the peoples of all races will come together in prayer, led by the Women, Children and Elders. From these gatherings healing will come to all of creation.
For many centuries, the San Luis Valley has been a place of peace, prayer and contemplation. This valley is surrounded by mountains which are considered sacred by the indigenous people of this land.

The Hopi and Dine’ consider Mt. Blanca their sacred mountain of the east. “Snow-capped Peak to the East” to the Hopi and “Sis Na Jin” to the Dine’. The Pueblo understand the lakes to the north of the mountain as “Their Place of Emergence”.

Within the heart of Mt. Blanca are the Zapata Falls, a sacred site and place of ceremony through out time to indigenous peoples. This sacred site is where The Youth Peace Journey will gather in prayer. So there can be no doubt of the intention of those who hold the key to survival of humanity. Women, children and elders of all races – will lead the prayer. Youth of San Luis Valley, Shumei International who is part of Shinji Shumeikai of America, Haidakhandi Ashram, Native American and many other faiths and walks of life will be on hand to carry out the intentions of this prayer. We are praying for a return to balance where peace is the way of life and to nurture earth.

There will be unprecedented ceremonies on Mt. Blanca. The spiritual centers throughout the San Luis Valley will be holding ceremony prior to the pilgrimage to Mt. Blanca to establish the intent and be of one mind and spirit.

The first ceremony of prayer will be by the Veterans of War, people who have taken a life through warfare in violation of the natural law; “Thou Shalt Not Kill!” They will seek forgiveness from creator and healing for the nations. They will dedicate their lives to being agents of change to stop this perpetual violation of the natural law that is handed down from generation to generation.
The Water Ceremony will honor the sacred source of all life and bring the cleansing and healing that is needed to connect all of creation in a harmonious way.

Humanity’s long history of the shedding of blood through warfare and oppression has been passed down from generation to generation. The sins of the Grandfather are the sins of the Grandson in Native American belief. The ceremony of the “Wiping of the Hands” will wipe this inheritance of sin from the present day child and give them a fresh reverence for life and peace.
A sacred rite of the Lakota “Hunka” (The making of relatives) is a ceremony to re-establish the relationship with the sacred family of creation. Mother Earth, the Plant and Animal Nations have suffered from the actions of man. This ceremony will start the healing process and is a reminder that all of creation is related. There will be a prayer for healing of Mother Earth, plant and animal nations.

A ceremonial tree planting, of the Cottonwood; the tree of life, balance and harmony, and Cedar; that carries the spirit of Mother Earth, will nurture our prayers and our intent. A feast, which is reflective of physical and spiritual nourishment, follows at the Baca Park in Crestone, Co.
There will be an Indigenous Peoples conference of teachings on the sacredness and significance of Mt. Blanca and the San Luis Valley to the indigenous peoples of the land.

The Natural Order lives within us all. We live it even though we don’t always see it as we wake each morning. Understanding our original ways can sometimes become lost in the noise of daily life. It whispers to us as we close our eyes to hide from the images of reality. What people eventually do is reflected in what exists around them, and if it is a negativity that exists, it is a negative reflection that we project on each other and unknowingly teach to our children. We must embrace the elements and allow Mother Earth to teach us, as there are things that only she can teach us. We cannot grow as nations without each other, nor can we evolve without our women, learn from our elders or survive for the future without our children. We must come together in prayer and build a life for ourselves and grandchildren to come.
